A 22-month-old toddler was seriously injured on Monday at 4:13 a.m. when the female driver of a Toyota lost control of her vehicle and struck a fire hydrant at 23rd and Mission streets.

The child was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries, police reported. The driver is being treated for minor injuries.

Saturday: Hit and Run

A 21-year-old man crossing the street at Cesar Chavez and Mission on Saturday at 11:30 p.m. was hit by a car. He is being treated at San Francisco General Hospital for minor injuries.

Friday: Assault

On Friday at 4:21 p.m., a 21-year-old woman sitting in her car at 16th and Bryant streets was approached by a man in his 30s, police reported.

The suspect pulled the woman out of the car, threw her to the ground and then punched and kicked her. We have a call in to the police to see if the victim knew the suspect.

The suspect then grabbed the keys from victim’s car and fled in a 2010 red BMW, according to the report.

  1. As of Tuesday Morning, the child is on a ventilator, and the mother is in the jail infirmary on suicide watch. If you pray, pray for baby Adonis.
