A suspect used a metal pole to hit a 43-year-old man before stealing his wristwatch Wednesday around 7:40 p.m., according to police.
The suspect, described as a man in his 30s, approached the victim on Julian Avenue near 16th Street and demanded his property. The victim surrendered his watch to the suspect, who fled the scene.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and chose not to receive medical treatment.
