It’s 6:03 a.m, 44° and headed to 66°. It’s going to be a lovely weekend. Details are here.

  • If you’re interested in bikes and lanes, there’s a meeting this morning on the Folsom bike lane at 10 a.m., City Hall, Room 416. A story on the bike lane is here.
  • If you haven’t been to Oddball Films, this may be the time to go to prepare for the extravaganza of commercials on Super Bowl Sunday. Oddball will show commercials and PSAs from the 1950s, the golden age of television.
  • It’s hard to know if they’ll ever get the Dolores Park food carts right. Let me know if you can figure this one out.
  • More ratings on bohemian cities and hipster neighborhoods, from Altered States. Mmm, makes me wonder if anyone has ever been to Dogpatch or Hayes Valley.
  • And for at least a while yesterday, there were free oranges on Valencia Street. Uptown Almanac caught this photo.

OK, nearly time for Mission Pie scones. If you haven’t tried the walnut scones there, you haven’t eaten the best scone in the Bay Area.

Enjoy the weekend, lc
