SFPD officers arrested a man at 16th and Mission at 11:30 a.m.

The man was identified as “Rico” by friends at the scene who refused to give their names.

More than six patrol cars were at the scene for the arrest and a crowd of dozens gathered to see what was happening.

Officers at the scene and at Mission Station declined to comment on the incident.

An onlooker who identify himself as a friend of “Rico” said that plainclothes officers arrested the man for no apparent reason. “They just showed up out of nowhere and arrested the man.”
