Mission High School’s varsity football team led Washington 16-13 for the Bears’ third AAA division game and first home game at Kezar Stadium.

Washington put heavy pressure on the Mission defense, scoring the first points allowed against the Bears in the regular season, but the Bears dominated the running game.

An admitted technophile, Jessica Lum navigates the Mission with Google Maps, but has only really come to know the neighborhood by wandering on foot, looking at murals, and occasionally watching the guy on the BART steps play “Stairway to Heaven.”
