The Summit, a new café and art gallery at 780 Valencia Street, will open its doors at 8 a.m. on Thursday. Spearheaded by former Poleng Lounge owner Desi Danganan and chef Eddie Lau, the café shares a space with i/o ventures, a tech startup venture company.
An admitted technophile, Jessica Lum navigates the Mission with Google Maps, but has only really come to know the neighborhood by wandering on foot, looking at murals, and occasionally watching the guy on the BART steps play “Stairway to Heaven.”
