Climate Theater’s new temporary residence is in the Jewish Theatre building at 470 Florida Street, between 17th and Mariposa streets.

The theater group will stay there for the next six months until it finds a permanent space, according to a statement.

The SF Appeal reported in May that Climate’s former landlord on Ninth Street was looking for a new tenant.

“The building’s owner, William Chan, admits that he’s responsible for their eviction, but said he had ‘no plans [for the space]’ and was simply ‘looking for a new renter.’ Both Ms. Heidt and Mr. Chan were insistent that the decision to part was not the result of a disharmonious relationship, but simple economics.”

During Climate’s residence at the Jewish Theater, it will be presenting its “most ambitious season to date,” according a statement.
