With La Mission as it turns out. It will have an April 16th opening in San Francisco, says on the red carpet.

Spring Solstice in the Mission
6 A.M. A cold 51° right now before the fog blows back to the sea; then high 60’s, a good day for the first day of spring. Tonight at the Make Out Room, The Cat’s Pajama’s with Ginger from Whore Magazine, hosting a dynamite lineup beginning with the Revolutionary Poets Brigade and Andy Warhol. Now Serving on a Rooftop near You
It’s spring again, and with it comes word that Medjool has opened its rooftop (“sky terrace”) for lunch. But it’s not just lunch; it’s the whole Medjool experience: the view, the pretense, the price, the little neighborhood piece of the globalization racket; the thought that some place on Mission Street — anyplace — would be a destination — for lunch! And as for oldsters who insist on food for lunch, Brock Keeling on SFist probably sums it up the menu nicely: “it sure sounds tasty.”
The Campaign Mailer that Devoured San Francisco
The Bay Guardian has outed the PG&E propaganda plan for the company’s campaign against public power. Fairly standard stuff, including the glossy fear-mongering mailers we always find so informative and yet so baffling. Over the years, the mailers have become even glossier and bigger, much bigger. The new entry from PG&E unfolds to a length of five feet! Somebody call Guiness Book of Records. San Francisco has now joined with other California cities to remove the measure from the ballot this spring, saying that it is misleading.
Viva Pacific Heights
Feeling healthier? Nancy Pelosi certainly is. Not only did she twist every arm in sight, conventional Beltway wisdom sez our Lady in Congress talked White House into going all-out for the Big Enchalada after the Dems’ defeat in Massachusetts. Congrats. Now that it’s over, and the 2010 elections on the near horizon, you can expect lots more sexist scary pix of Pelosi coming to a screen or magazine near you.
