San Francisco Police arrested a man at the Amit Hotel on 2060 Mission Street who is a suspect in several cafe robberies throughout the city, police officials said.
Jacob Schildgen, 42, was arrested on Sunday without incident after police identified his vehicle, which matched the description of the car in the robberies, on Mission Street between 16th and 17th streets.
Schildgen has been charged with numerous counts of robbery and is currently in custody, according to a statement by SFPD. He had also violated a felony probation for drug charges from Sacramento County.
The alleged robberies were from February 22 through March 12. Two of the robberies were within half an hour of each other on March 12, first in the Mission and then in the Castro.
Schildgen is also suspected of attempted robbery in the upper market area, and a robbery Divisadero street corridor, according to police.
