Oh SF.StreetsBlog say it isn’t so! More MUNI cuts and $5 to ride the F-Market trains? And BART may go up too? Actually it looks like every type of transportation will probably cost you more this year. Good thing we just got a new pair of shoes because soon we won’t be able to afford using public transportation. Maybe it’s time we start using our bike more.

Talking about biking, how cool is CycleTracks, the iPhone app that gathers information on hazards and problems encountered on rides throughout San Francisco, to help the city better design its bicycle infrastructure.

We’ll admit we’ve never watched the Jay Leno show so we haven’t really followed the late show jokes that followed NBC’s decision to move him later in the night. Conan O’Brien on the other hand has been having fun cracking jokes about the move. In our humble opinion, his latest one is the funniest. O’Brien announced on the late show last night that he put his show on Craigslist while he could. The ad reads: “4 SALE: BARELY-USED LATE NIGHT TALK SHOW – MAKE ME AN OFFER!!!”

The show, he adds, is “Designed for 11:35 but can be easily moved.”

We hope you’re enjoying your long weekend. Monday is Martin Luther King Day and as Laurie Buenafe Krsmanovic reported earlier, there’s an opportunity to help your neighborhood. There will be a volunteer cleanup day for the area around 24th Street. Bring large garbage bags, brooms, dustpans and gloves, and meet in front of Phil’z Coffee at Folsom and 24th Streets.

Take cover from the rain at the SF MOMA this weekend; they’re celebrating their 75th anniversary and letting you in for free. They also have presentations worth checking out. 75 Reasons to Live includes mini-lectures with the Mission’s Artists’ Television Access Craig Baldwin.
