Supervisor David Campos and Bevan Dufty, along with four other progressive supervisors, have agreed to take one more furlough day that will save the city some $4,638, the City Insider reports.

One notable absence is Supervisor Chris Daly who did not sign up for the furlough day before the Thanksgiving break.

The travel section of The New York Times highlights our neighbors at Bernal Heights, as reported by Burrito Justice. It also gives some suggestions on restaurants. Where do you go out to eat Supervisor Campos?

Speaking of the Times. Check out the piece by our managing editor Lydia Chavez and section editor Armand Emamdjomeh where they get in on the trash talking debate about East Coast vs. West Coast food and how that relates to the Mission.

And Myriam Beltral tells us the story behind the store/art space a Little Gravel, a Little Gold.

And that is it for me this week folks. Someone else will come and fill you in on the daily Mission happenings.

  1. thanks for your comment Supervisor Daly.

I thought it noteworthy because the other progressive Supervisors had taken part of it. That’s all.

but thanks for reading! best Rigo.

  2. I don’t understand why my not taking the additional voluntary cuts would be noteworthy. My position has consistently been that cuts to the City’s top earners should be across the board — not just across the Board of Supervisors. Cuts to 11 City employees will not solve the budget problem.

With that said, I would happily cast my vote to take an additional pay cut along with all the City’s top earners.
