Pop-Up Film Screening: Beard Club

Pop-up screening of the documentary, BEARD CLUB as part of a crowd funding efforts to finish the film which has been nine years in the making!  The film examines the social politics of facial hair and looks at serious subjects like stereotyping and ideas of masculinity in a light hearted yet heartfelt way.
Event Information
- Event starts at 7 pm at Progressive Grounds Cafe at 2301 Bryant, their inaugural screening event
- Pop-up screening to support Indiegogo campaign efforts to complete the hour long film BEARD CLUB  directed by local Mission resident Laura J. Lukitsch.  This is the completion of her nine year journey working on this documentary.
- Graphic designer Stacy Asher who teaches at SF State and University of San Francisco, designed some cut out beards for the event so that even non-bearded folks could don a beard.
- Admission is free, donations accepted
