DESCRIPTION:
In a highly original experiment in self-documentary, filmmaker, lifelong musician and ODC Theater Resident Artist Paul Festa takes a lesson on the Tchaikovsky violin concerto from a series of artists, none of whom are violinists. Each lesson sparks a fiesty dialogue about music, the artist’s path, the teacher-student relationship and the role of the muse. At times rollicking comedy, at others stirring drama, and always deeply human, Tie It Into My Hand energizes the artist within all of us.

Also screening: Festa’s award-winning silent film comedy, The Glitter Emergency, featuring members of the San Francisco Ballet and the Cockettes.
