She holds a BA in Studio Art and an MFA in Animation and VFX with an emphasis in 3D modeling from Academy of Art University. She moved to San Francisco to study 3D modeling\, but later found herself returning to traditional mediums like drawing and painting. Her background in 3D and anatomy continues to shape her approach to the human form through weight\, structure\, and volume. Her work focuses on distorted female figures\, exaggerated anatomy\, flesh\, folds\, and imperfect forms. Growing up in a restrictive environment influenced the way she views the body\, nudity\, and self-expression. In her work\, the body is presented as visible\, exposed\, awkward\, and real rather than hidden or idealized. Using acrylic paint\, colored pencil\, and expressive line work\, she pushes and reshapes anatomy to create figures that feel both grotesque and intimate.

Interspersed with interviews with other sufferers\, the play\, like so many Marsh stories\, also offers outsiders an insider’s view\, thereby expanding our understanding and\, hopefully\, our humanity. Whether synthesized or sourced from across oceans\, Ostertag churns sound in an ocean of acid intellect. His live performances come at you fast\, well honed from a lifetime of improvisation (alongside Frith\, Minton\, Zorn and later Otomo Yoshide and Justin Vivian Bond) tracing the arc and velocity of a legendary artist. You have to plumb his earliest explorations on Buchla and Serge synths (as Rrose did on the recent “Surgeon General” release) to fully appreciate his expansive sensibilities. Wresting video game sound on his album “w00t”\, he uncorks all hell in response to hell of actual war in Lebanon. Ostertag’s activism is inseparable from his aesthetic and the more you prime your mind by reading his concise and helpul prose\, the less likely you’ll be whiplashed once his music ensnares you. Entangling the micro and macro requires two master practicioners of sound synthesis such as we have here\, in perfect alignment. What is the difference between bento and just any packed lunch? The extra care that goes into the preparation. Bento meals feature balance as their main attribute\, so they satisfy not only the body but also the eye and the soul. Balance is present in Japanese meals\, usually around the number 5: colors (and thus nutrients)\, preparation techniques\, and flavors. \nCamila has been traveling yearly to Japan since 2017\, introducing and guiding small groups of Americans to the culture through its cuisine and crafts. The Mission District born and bred Loco Bloco brings their high energy AfroBrazilian drum and dance ensemble to Dance Mission Theater. Medicine for Nightmares Bookstore hosts a reading and book release celebration of queer poetics with Lourdes Figueroa. The young trans artists of color from Ancestral Dream Collective will showcase their linocut prints at Artillery AG Studio. Made in the City will host the popular Stoop Sessions music collective. There’s cumbia from Malagreña and Chicano country-folk music from Josiah Flores at Accion Latina\, and Mariachi CMC performs outside in front of Temo’s Cafe. Bomba! Mariachi! Cumbia! Queer poets! Trans print makers! Stoop concerts! Brand drops! Y más! \nJoin us for Paseo Artístico: Raise Your Voice/Levanta La Voz in the Calle 24 Latino Cultural District Saturday June 13\, 2026.   The Mission District’s FREE bilingual community art stroll PASEO ARTÍSTICO returns with an all day event featuring artists who fight for their rights to free expression and sustainability in San Francisco. \nBatuki at Dance Mission at 5pm – Drumming and Urban Art\nBatuki will run two activities\, drumming and urban art. There will be 1-3 painting stations running simultaneously followed by the Roda de Timbau “drum circle”. participants are taught how to create art for themselves or others. The spray-paint\, stencil\, poster format allows the creation of quick drying art. The art will also be displayed on the drums that will be used in the drum circle. \nDrumming Workshop\n– Participants will be able to play a Brazilian hand drum (timbau) in a large circle. Learning specific rhythms and patterns but more so experiencing the feeling of jamming in a community. The roda allows people to solo\,sing coro’s and play in unison. \nArt Workshop\n– Conduct urban art workshop that incorporate cultural themes\, allowing students to create meaningful artworks using stencils\, aerosol\, posters and drums. \nPaseo Artístico is encouraging community members to come out and support Mission District artists who perform and sustain cultural arts and creative life in San Francisco. We are facing a number of difficulties as a cultural community including large losses of funding\, censorship\, closure of the Mission Cultural Center\, and an uncertain political future. To raise awareness we are featuring artists who specialize in speaking out\, raising their voices about who they love\, what they represent\, and why San Francisco’s cultural community is so important. We are featuring all women Puertorican bomba group Batey Tambo at Brava’s Cabaret Theater. Medicine for Nightmares Bookstore hosts a reading and book release celebration of queer poetics with Lourdes Figueroa. The young trans artists of color from Ancestral Dream Collective will showcase their linocut prints at Artillery AG Studio. Made in the City will host the popular Stoop Sessions music collective. There’s cumbia from Mala Greña and poetic country-folk music from Josiah Flores at Accion Latina\, and Mariachi CMC performs outside in front of Temo’s Cafe. Both shows will be at 7:00 PM at BRAVA Theater Center\, 2781 24th Street\, in the heart of the Mission District. \nPresented by Rhodessa Jones Productions with sponsorship and theatrical partnership from BRAVA! For Women in the Arts\, the evening is an offering of remembrance\, storytelling\, and a moment with one of the city’s most singular voices. For an artist whose life’s work has been devoted to lifting the stories of the unheard\, “Just Outside of Babylon” is both reflection and reckoning — a love letter to the San Francisco that shaped her\, and to the people\, places\, and movements that kept her making art inside jails\, on streets\, in living rooms\, and on the world’s great stages for nearly four decades. \nFor longtime followers of Rhodessa’s work\, this engagement marks an especially meaningful moment: it is expected to be her final press-promoted theatrical presentation for some time. Threatened by their disregard for societal norms and gender roles\, the king of Thebes denies Dionysus’s godhood and seeks to destroy the Bacchants’ freedom and sacred\, ecstatic rituals. In return\, Dionysus shows him the bloody truth of what it means to deny the identity of a god.  \nThis dance-forward\, world premiere performance of acclaimed classicist Dr. Emily Wilson’s vibrant translation focuses on themes of gender non-conformity\, bodily autonomy\, identity\, and community. The two met on an archaeological dig in India and started making music together in 2014\, drawing from Chaudhary’s Bollywood and Sufi roots and Curry’s background in percussion. The result is a cinematic sound that weaves ancient world textures into heavy\, melodic bass music. They’ve released on ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective\, Monstercat\, and 88rising\, and their track “For Aisha” charted globally after being featured in a Bollywood film that premiered at TIFF. Their latest album ABOVEGROUND* dropped in late 2025. Festival appearances include Coachella\, EDC\, Glastonbury\, Electric Forest\, Shambhala\, and Bonnaroo.
