The zambra is an historically unique flamenco form made popular during the 50′s. It has a rich history as a form of sung poetry. During this special evening, experienced dancers, singer and musicians will explore and three distinct incarnations: the Spanish ‘classical’ zambra of the 50′s, the Arabic-influenced zambra with Moorish/Andalucian vocal stylings and, finally, a modern take on the zambra danced by Antonio Arrebola. Featured artists/musicians: Featuring singer Kina Mendez, dancer Kerensa DeMars with Roberto Zamora, David Paez, Gopal Slavonic and guest dancer Antonio Arrebola. MORE HERE
