A man was arrested after robbing five people at about 7:15 Monday evening on 25th and Alabama streets. Police said the man robbed a man on  25th and Harrison streets at about 5:15 Monday evening. The victim called police and flagged down a police vehicle.

Officers located the suspect and started running after him but lost sight of him. They set up a perimeter to continue searching for the suspect. At about 7 p.m., officers heard a scream. The suspect had broken into a home where four people were.

The suspect again fled from officers to a rooftop, where he threatened to jump. During the chase, six officers were injured.

Authorities were then able to take the suspect into custody.

  1. I started this thread about a week ago and no one made any references to Pulp Fiction!

I think ML should have a poll section. I would love to see a vote on which Mission District cafe matches the Holdup Scene of PF.

  2. Thank you all for your comments. I was able to get more information from police on the robbery at 25th and Alabama. There were five victims: The first victim was on the street and four others were inside a house. According to Officer Carlos Manfredi, SFPD mistakenly counted six of their officers as victims. The six officers were injured during the chase but shouldn’t have been counted in the number of victims. I’ve corrected the story and added more information. Helene

  3. The actual citywide stats are: 10+ electronic robberies on Sunday, 14 electronic robberies on Monday, 7 electronic robberies on Tuesday. But SFPD characterizes them as petty thefts- like a person stealing chapstick from Walgreens.

  4. maybe it was that art gallery on the corner. I can see 11 artsy people being inside sipping their drinks & admiring the paintings & someone just walking in & taking everyone’s stuff.
