Last night the 16th St. BART station was closed down and the Mission was humming with police activity. At about 8 p.m. an unidentified suspect was shot by a police officer, sparking a group of protesters to hit the streets and vandalize the Mission police station. The Bay Guardian reports that a popular Haight coffee shop is opening a location in the Mission. According to the report, Stanza Coffee will open its Mission doors at 3126 16th St. early next month.
