American Giant recently opened shop on 21st Street

American Giant, an apparel company that manufactures their clothes in Burlingame, unveiled its new Mission shop on 21st Street on Tuesday.

The company is the brainchild of Bayard Winthrop of the former president of Chrome bags.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle and the San Francisco Business Times, the company will focus on selling online. It’s unclear whether they will sell their garments at its store on 21th street, near Mission.

“It’s not quite a retail space… but more on that later. Stay tuned,” was the company’s response to a tweet.

Winthrop tells the San Francisco Business Times that their company hopes to make a profit by going the opposite direction of American Apparel. Read on.
