A man was robbed of his wallet and cash at bat-point early Monday morning, and several other property thefts occurred in the Mission this weekend.

At 2 a.m. on Monday, a 41-year-old man was near the corner of 24th and Folsom when he was approached by three men in their late teens and early 20s. One man in the group pulled out a baseball bat and hit the victim in the leg, while a second suspect took the victim’s wallet. All three suspects fled the scene on foot, and the victim was transported to St. Luke’s with non-life threatening injuries.

On Sunday at 12:50 a.m., a 31-year-old man was in his car on Mission between 16th and 17th when a man in his 30s opened the front door of the car while another man in his 30s opened the rear door. Both suspects told the driver to get out of the car, and the first suspect pointed a gun at the driver. The victim ran and both suspects fled the scene in the vehicle, which was a black BMW X5 SUV.

Later that day at 10:10 p.m., a 29-year-old man was in his apartment on South Van Ness. Ave between 14th and 15th when he heard a noise and went to investigate, discovering that his bicycle had been stolen.

Saturday morning at 3:10 a.m., a 23-year-old man was walking on Mission between 16th and 17th when he was approached by a man in his early 20s. The suspect grabbed the victim’s smartphone from his sweatshirt and fled on foot with a second suspect.

On Friday at 8:58 p.m., a business near Mission and Santa Marina was robbed when a man in his late 30s or early 40s entered the store and grabbed a 22-year-old man around the neck. The suspect stole money from the victim and then demanded that he get more money out of the register, which he did. The suspect then fled the scene.

And the San Francisco Examiner reports that a gun stolen from a police officer on October 17 was recovered during a traffic stop Friday evening. At 5:36 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle near 26th and South Van Ness for driving with a broke tail light and discovered that its driver, 29-year-old Sergio Manriquez, was driving without a license and was on probation.

Officers then searched the vehicle and found the stolen gun, which was reported stolen from an off-duty officer’s locked vehicle on Howard Street on October 17. The man was arrested on suspicion of stolen property and other offenses.
