Two young men were standing on a footbridge on 19th and Church Streets watching fireworks at 2:39 on Sunday morning when they were shot. The 20-year-old victim was hit in the chest, and the 16-year-old was hit in the arm.

The two victims were transported to San Francisco General Hospital. The 16-year-old’s injuries are non-life threatening, but the 20-year-old is in critical condition.

There have been no updates on their condition, and no suspect description was available.

Friday, July 3, 2:15 a.m. A 20-25 year-old male grabbed a 23-year-old female’s purse and pushed her down on 16th and Albion Streets.

The victim’s cellphone was located via a tracker and found in front of a building on Market Street, between 8th and 9th Streets, about a mile away, but no arrests were made.

Friday, July 3, 4:05 a.m. Four teenagers attacked a 34-year-old man on 18th and South Van Ness Streets. First, three girls – around 17 to 19 years old – approached the victim and asked him a question, then began punching him. Then, a man got out of a white van and began kicking and punching the victim. At some point, the victim was stabbed in the back.

Police responded at 18th and Capp Street and one of the female suspects was arrested.

The victim was left with non-life threatening injuries.

Saturday, July 4, 5:10 a.m. A 58-year-old woman on 14th Street between Shotwell and Folsom Streets surrendered her purse to an 18-20 year old male who walked up behind her and demanded it. The suspect then walked away. No arrests were made.

Saturday, July 4, 10:15 p.m. Three men in their late twenties approached two other men – a 24 and a 28-year-old – on 22nd and Florida Streets. One of the suspects pulled out a handgun and demanded that the two victims hand over their belongings, which they did. Then, one of the three men began going through the 28-year-old victim’s pockets. The victim told them that he had given them everything, and the three men then began to punch the two victims repeatedly.

Both victims were sent to St. Luke’s hospital for injuries to their foreheads, cheeks, and mouths. Their injuries were non-life threatening.

The suspects then fled on foot. No arrests have been made.
