Causa Justa::Just Cause (CJJC), a San Francisco and Oakland-based human rights organization that assists low-income residents with needs from housing to social justice, will host a workshop educating immigrants on their rights at the Mission branch of the Public Library this Tuesday.
The workshop will be conducted in Spanish and offer information about legal and social services available to immigrants and will help the victims of harassment and threats from landlords or employers defend themselves. CJJC organizers will also guide a theater-based workshop at which attendees can practice what to say and do in uncomfortable situations.
CJJC will also provide information about organizations working for immigrant rights and how to get involved.
The event is free and open to the public, and will be held on the main floor of the library from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
