Alley Art Painting The Town Sunday

Revolution Cafe is the latest stop on a traveling community showcase project called Alley Art. For this interactive art event, happening on Sunday in and around the 22nd Street cafe, nomad artist Jennifer Charboneau invites the community to come paint, listen to live music, dance, and peruse artwork from on-site artists.

Alley Art has held events around the globe, and is in the middle of a cross-country tour of 14 cities. It’s a project Charboneau initiated because of the way traveling “feeds her artistic soul.” A final, cumulative showcase will take place in Brooklyn, New York this September, and each showcase provides material for an Alley Art book.

Artists, businesses and art enthusiasts are also encouraged to contact the artist directly with project ideas or showcase material.

The Mission-based Alley Art event begins at 1 p.m.
