Want to volunteer? 

Josie’s Place for Bereaved Youth and Families is pleased to announce that we will be conducting a training this summer for those interested in becoming a volunteer facilitator for our peer support groups: Wednesday and Thursday evening children’s and parent groups, Tuesday evening Spanish-speaking groups, and weekday school-based groups.

We are looking for individuals who have experience working with children and/or teens and experience with death and grief, or who have a sincere interest in this work. Men and people of color are encouraged to apply. Bi-cultural, bi-lingual Spanish-speakers are needed for our Spanish groups. Applicants must be willing to make a minimum of a 1-year commitment to Josie’s Place, and longer is desired.

Training dates: Thursday, 7/17/14  6-9 PM, Saturdays, 7/19, 7/26, 8/2  10 AM – 5 PM, Monday, 8/4/14 6-9 PM

It is important that trainees attend each day of the training.

Please plan to attend an information meeting in advance of the training. These meetings will take place on:

Wednesday, 6/11/14   7-9 PM, Monday, 6/16/14 7-9 PM
