It’s Monday, 7 a.m., 62° now and expected to rise to a quite sunny 77°. Details for the next 10 days are here. It looks like a beautiful start to a mostly lovely week.

A 4-alarm fire broke out early this morning in the Bayview, on Third and Hudson. The Chronicle reports firefighters fought the blaze for over 2 hours, no injuries but seven people were displaced.

No day is good for a fire, but the smoke certainly won’t do anything to help spare the air.

The World Cup starts this week. KQED’s Michael Krasny speaks with soccer columnist Alan Black about the games later this morning. Many Brazillians have weighed in on the games via street art in angry protest.

I’ve been waiting for someone to weigh in on this debate:Boogaloos or St. Francis Fountain?

Have a good day everyone!

The games do not start “later this morning”.

They start on Thursday with the host nation Brazil kicking off, as is the tradition.

Thanks for the link to the street art Dan. Fascinating stuff.
