The silent ride will begin at 5 p.m. today. The ride procession honors those who have been killed or injured while riding in San Francisco. This is an event that happens once a year, on the third Wednesday of May in more than 50 countries. More info here.

The group will be departing from Sports Basement in the Mission, on 1590 Bryant Street. Before departing, there will be a free bike tuning and refreshments.

Expect a slow-pace ride through SoMa, the Mission and on Market with a few brief stops to honor those who have passed away.

Don’t forget to bring lights and a helmet. More info here.
