Good Morning Mission!

It is 7 a.m, 56° and headed to 64°. Details for the next ten days are here. The temperature dips to 61 on Monday, but then recovers nicely through the week and, you might, like these folks, want to play hooky later in the week.

No matter how well one thinks they know the Mission, there are always surprises.  For instance, how did I not know about the Mission Science and its founder, Dan Sudran?

Mission Science is part Exploratorium, part California Academy of Sciences, part Maker Faire and part super-cool science class. Founded by Dan Sudran in his San Francisco Mission district garage over 20 years ago, Mission Science now has two locations in the city and a handful of other locations around the state. Read more from Science today.

Local’s Corner was vandalized again on Friday, reports ABC News.

And if you’re wondering – as many of us have – what will become of the old 99 cent store at 18th and Mission, SF Curbed reports it will be a brewery and a full service restaurant.

Enjoy the day. Here is your Bay to Breakers link to the course map.  It’s only an hour away.
