A San Francisco Police officer was dragged by a vehicle during a foot chase, according to a spokeswoman from the San Francisco Police Department.

Officers responded to a call around 12:30 p.m. about a suspicious person on the 500 block of Castro Street. When police arrived at the scene, the suspect fled and jumped into his car near 18th and Castro streets.  Police say the suspect dragged the officer in his vehicle. The officer was not seriously injured and declined medical treatment at the scene.

Authorities are still searching for the suspect and the vehicle. We will update this post as we get more information.
