CO Legalizes Marijuana for Recreational Use

You may have thought California was pretty progressive when it comes to marijuana laws, but as of January 1 Colorado will become the first state to allow cannabis permit retailers to sell marijuana for recreational use, which puts the state at heads with federal law (which still prohibits the sale and possession of cannabis. Isn’t American law confusing?)

    This news is a year old. Both Colorado and Washington State legalized marijuana in the last election. Both are issuing permits for retailers next year, both already have cafés for smoking, and both have allowed legal smoking/possession since last year.
