Have a camping trip on the horizon? Well, time to make alternate plans. As the government shutdown quickly becomes reality, national parks across the country will soon close their gates. Guests already at campgrounds and onsite hotels have 48 hours to vacate the premises as of this morning, reports the Mother Nature Network. This closure also affects the large number of national park workers and outside and private industries whose livelihoods depend upon the parks. It will also bring university and government studies to a halt, potentially compromising research.
