Good Morning Mission!

Good Morning Mission! It is 9:45 a.m, 59° and headed to 65°. Details for the next ten days are here.

Michael Bauer found one of his two favorite dishes of the week in San Francisco including the halibut cola at Locanda that is dressed with “a plate that holds a metal pitcher of on oil, salt, a creamy slightly spicy sauce and lemon.” That concoction can be found on  Valencia between 16th and 17th streets.  If you are taking a weekend drive to Big Sur and Carmel, check out his other suggestions here.

Do you remember when there were buses that went from the Mission to the Casinos in northern California? Perhaps they still leave from elsewhere in the city. In New York, the casino buses leave from Queens and from there, the passengers on one particular bus are Koreans. A photographer, Yeong-Ung Yang documented their commute for the NYT lens column. See the photos here.

And, a study reported in the Bay Citizen concludes that running over pedestrians is unlikely to send you to prison. Oh Joy.

Look both ways before walking.

Enjoy the day.
