A fire started in the kitchen at Little Baobab Friday morning just after 10:30 near Mission and 19th Streets. No one was injured, and fire fighters were at the scene within minutes and controlled the fire just after 10:50 a.m., according to an official from the fire department.

A story in the San Francisco Chronicle said that the owner Marco Senghor will close the restaurant for five or six months. The sister business, Bissap Baobab, will still be open for business down the street.

In other news, Mission Mission posted photos from the rooftop bar El Techo de Lolinda, which looks onto Mission Street. The bar will open to the public on Monday at 2518 Mission.

The band, the Allah Las played at the Chapel on Valencia Street Thursday night. Look here for photos of the musicians in action, in front of a packed San Francisco crowd.
