The new span of the Bay Bridge is set to receive a state-of-the-art security system, according to SFGate. The $26 million camera system was approved yesterday by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission.

Data shows that gun purchases in San Francisco are on the rise. Despite the increase, law enforcement officials have no way to monitor how many guns are in the city.
