The Chronicle reports that chain retailer Walmart could be looking into opening a small store where DeLano’s once stood, on South Van Ness. Fresh & Easy plans for that location were put on hold when the U.K. owner of the money-losing grocery chain decided to conduct a strategic review.

San Francisco is leading the way in City Dog Share programs. The dog sitting program is being replicated in cities such as Seattle, Portland and Los Angeles.

David Chiu was unanimously re-elected as Board President for the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. This is his third election into the position.
