The SF Examiner reports that San Francisco City College is facing a new set of problems if it does not meet enrollment goals. This would be the second year the community college has failed to meet its enrollment base target of 34,000 full-time students.
The base number is what allows City College to receive funding from the state. The college is currently a few thousand students away from meeting the goal.
Last year City College enrolled only 32,600 full-time students and was placed on probation as a result. Funding for the college will be lowered beginning July 1 if the target number of enrolled students is not met for a second consecutive year.
