Holiday Crime Recap: Two Robberies and a Hot Prowl Burglary

A man was robbed in the area of 16th and Mission streets on Monday at about 4:20 p.m. Two suspects approached him, punched him and took his cash and cell phone before fleeing on foot.

The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, and he was taken to the hospital.

A man entered another man’s house and tried to take a video game console at about 8 a.m. on Monday.

The victim walked into the room and saw the suspect, who then fled the house in an unknown direction. The incident occurred at 19th and Lexington streets.

Two people were arrested for robbing a woman on a bus near 16th and Mission streets at about 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

The suspects, described as a woman in her late 40s and a man in his early 50s, tried to pickpocket the victim while she was sitting on the bus.

The victim felt a tug on her jacket and stood up. One of the suspects then grabbed her purse and knocked her to the ground. She ripped off her necklaces and tried to get away.

The driver stopped the bus stopped and got everyone off, and police arrived and arrested both suspects.
