Forget your geedunk wagons and taco trucks: you know the mobile food movement has come of age when cruise meal dining pops up in the Mission District!
Celebrity Cruises, the folks who offer luxury voyages to such destinations as New Guinea, Alaska, the Caribbean and Hawaii, launched the first of two pop-up cruise meal opportunities at the Mission’s own Stable Cafe, 2128 Folsom St., on Nov. 14 and will follow up with another on Nov. 15. Lunch and dinner seatings are being offered for $25 per diner at lunch and $50 at dinner, with the proceeds to benefit the Celebrity Cruises Scholarship at the Culinary Institute of America.
