It’s 7 a.m. and 56º, headed to 64º. The heat is gone and the clouds are back.
The busiest, most eventful weekend in San Francisco is finally over and everything appears to have gone smoothly, with no traffic jams — even if public transit was a madhouse. Sunday’s lineup included the final day of Fleet Week, the America’s Cup World Series, the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, a 49ers game and the Giants’ second playoff game.
The fate of suspended San Francisco Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi will be decided Tuesday when the Board of Supervisors votes whether to oust their former colleague. Mirkarimi plead guilty to a misdemeanor earlier this year after a New Year’s Eve incident in which he grabbed and bruised his wife’s arm.
And playoff baseball hasn’t been very nice to the Bay Area. After one weekend of play, both the Giants and A’s are down two games in their respective division series.
