An Aggravated Assault on 18th Street

A 35-year-old man was the victim of an aggravated assault early Friday. Four men between the ages of 20 and 25 were inside a vehicle when they struck the man with the car. As he crawled to the sidewalk, three suspects got out of the car and demanded his property. The victim refused and was punched repeatedly. One suspect took his cellphone and threw it against the wall. The men then fled the scene westbound on 18th Street in a silver sedan.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. on 18th between South Van Ness Avenue and Mission Street. The victim was taken to the hospital with a broken arm and leg.

No arrests have been made.

Half an hour later, in a separate incident, a 35-year-old man was robbed on Capp between 21st and 22nd streets. One suspect approached the victim, brandished a handgun, and demanded his property. Another suspect took the victim’s money and both then fled on foot.

The suspects are described as a 38-year-old man and a woman whose age is unknown.

The victim suffered no injuries and no arrest has been made.
