The SF Giants are filming a commercial to promote the upcoming season and parts of it were filmed around the neighborhood today.
Little Giant Lighting manager Jesse Hagy told Mission Loc@l that a crew of 15 to 20 people are working on the commercial this week. Actors playing Giants fans were filmed eating burritos at Taqueria Cancun on Mission Street, dyeing their hair orange in the bathroom at Mission Ink, and getting a Giants tattoo (the actor only went as far as getting the Giants tattoo traced on his arm, no needles were involved). Sasha Blue, a piercer at Mission Ink, said the crew was there for about one and half hours.
Hagy said they also filmed at Willy’s barbershop on 22nd Street and at Nice & Clean Laundromat on 21st Street.
Tomorrow, players Brian Wilson and Tim Lincecum will be at AT&T Park for the commercial shoot, according to Hagy.
