A 28-year-old man was walking near 17th and Mission streets at 11:25 p.m. on Tuesday — perhaps returning from work, perhaps from dinner.
He was approached by two men close to his own age. One knocked him to the ground, and then both took the victim’s cellphone and cash — easy pickings after one has been knocked to the ground.
The suspects, of course, fled on foot. The 28-year-old was not treated for injuries, the police reported.
