Hey, I don’t support Newsom. But the childish name calling (“Mayor Getty”), and the hyperbolic, over-simplified and cynical description of his motivations isn’t helping anyone gain understanding. Not journalism, and not decent, engaging editorial opinion.

hey, many thanks jesse (my wife didn’t put you up to this did she? i’m sorry you don’t like my hyperbolic and childish name-calling rhetoric and you are right in saying none of this will help anyone gain a deeper understanding of the issues. but i don’t think anything i would say in less than 25 words, even with the most dispassionate and eloquent rhetoric would have any serious effect on that count, nor should it. i point to articles i think are relevant to life in the Mission, interesting, or informative, or quirky, humorous, strange, whatever, worth a quick read in the morning. if you want to know more about an issue, or need a real profile of a political figure, i suggest you check out the articles i link to, or better, read what has been reported, with intelligence and grace, on these and other subjects in missionlocal over the past year.
