Serena and Mama in Tahoe
Serena and her mama in Tahoe

Hey Kids! is a weekly feature looking at what’s coming up for families and kids of all ages.

Snow and hail in the Mission has melted.   Spring has sprung from its suppression, chipping away at frozen rivers and buttoned coats.  Over at Snake Park the geysers erupt, soaking barefoot kids screaming like rollercoaster riders.  Strawberries ripen, dogs wag and kiss.  The children bury toys and shoes under sand at Precita Park while parents try to find this. Decoders of sandbox topography, we’re snagged into child’s play.  On the way home the crescent moon is a distant flag rising. Winter surrenders.

Enjoy this video and article by Brooklyn dad Matt Gross on his visit here with baby Sasha.  As always, mad props to Mission Parents Group.
